'Red Riding Hood' on stage in Red Cloud next week

RED CLOUD — Aspiring young actors and actresses who are interested in joining the cast of “Red Riding Hood” here next week are encouraged to audition for a part Monday.
The production is being brought to town by the Red Cloud Opera House in partnership with the Missoula Children’s Theatre in Missoula, Mont.
Actor-directors from the Missoula organization will spend the entire week in Red Cloud, working with the cast and crew each day in preparation for public performances the evening of Aug. 6 and the afternoon of Aug. 7. The actor-directors come equipped with everything needed for the production in the way of scenery, props, makeup and costumes.
Many roles for a variety of ages are available. Students in grades 1-12 are encouraged to audition at 10 a.m. Monday and plan to stay for two hours. No advance preparation is necessary. The Aug. 6 public performance begins at 7 p.m. The Aug. 7 show starts at 4 p.m.
