HC's Rush earns All-American honor

OKLAHOMA CITY — Hastings College wrestler Jameon Rush is an All-American. The 174-pound Rush finished fifth at the NAIA national meet Saturday, capturing a 10-5 decision over McKendree’s Josh Bryant in the fifth-place match of the 174-pound bracket. Rush went 5-2 en route to finishing fifth.
Rush, just the second All-American for HC in the three-year history of the program, was the lone wrestler to place in the top eight for the Broncos.
Notre Dame (Ohio) cruised to the team title with 179.5 points. Southern Oregon was second with 120 points. Hastings finished 23rd with 19 points.
