BLADEN — Franklin’s offense came alive in the fourth quarter and rallied with 32 unanswered points while racing to a 56-26 win over Silver Lake Friday night.
Silver Lake dominated the first half, holding a 20-6 advantage at the break. And the Mustangs managed to cling to a two-point lead early in the final quarter. But that’s when the Flyers went on a tear.
Aaron Davis tallied three touchdowns in the fourth quarter, helping the Class D-1 No. 7 Flyers improve to 6-0.
“We came out flat in the first half,” Franklin coach Alan Gottula said. “The bottom line was we weren’t ready to play. And we didn’t play well in any phase. But in the second half, we rose to the occasion.”
